Heineken launches Strongbow Zest cider

Heineken UK-owned brand Strongbow has announced the expansion of its flavour portfolio with a new flavour: Strongbow Zest.

Strongbow Zest is an apple cider blended with lime, lemon and orange flavours. It joins Strongbow’s fruity variants including Dark Fruit, Cloudy Apple and Tropical. The company believes that the zesty mix of limes, lemons and oranges enhances the classic apple taste and will drive more consumers into the cider category.

The new flavour has an ABV of 4% and contains no artificial flavours, sweeteners or colours and is suitable for vegan and gluten-free diets.

Rachel Holms, the cider brand director at Heineken UK, expressed excitement about the launch of Strongbow Zest into the market ahead of the summer season. Referring to the successful launch of Strongbow Tropical last year, she emphasised the existing demand for new flavours in the category.

Strongbow Zest is available now in select retailers in both multipacks and single formats, with a wider rollout in April.
