New York Bakery Co launches limited-edition Sweet Maple Bagels

New York Bakery Co launches limited-edition Sweet Maple Bagels

New York Bakery Co is set to introduce its limited-edition Sweet Maple bagels today.

This new product, inspired by the iconic flavours of New York diners, aims to meet the growing demand for innovative breakfast options in the bakery aisle.

The Sweet Maple bagels are infused with Canadian pure maple syrup and contain cinnamon pieces, offering consumers a seasonal flavour profile just in time for autumn.

The launch comes as the ambient bagel segment experiences significant growth, outperforming the broader ambient breakfast category with a 4.3% year-on-year increase in volume sales, compared to just 1.8% for other breakfast items.

New York Bakery Co commands a substantial share of the bagel market, holding 53% of the value share and 52% of the volume share in a sector valued at £185 million.

The company’s emphasis on authentic recipes and traditional baking methods – each bagel is rolled, boiled and baked – has contributed to its dominant position in the market.

Christina Honigfort, marketing and insights director at New York Bakery Co, said: “Our Sweet Maple bagels bring a taste of New York diners to Brits’ breakfast tables just in time for autumn”.

The Sweet Maple bagels will be available in packs of five for £2.10, initially launching in Tesco and Morrisons, with plans to expand distribution to Asda and Waitrose in the following weeks.
