NIO introduces four new Hawaii-inspired cocktails

NIO introduces four new Hawaii-inspired cocktails

NIO Cocktails has announced a new range of bar-strength beverages, named ‘Postcards from Hawaii,’ boasting four new flavours.

NIO Cocktails, which stands for ‘needs ice only,’ is a premium premixed Italian cocktail brand. The beverages come in small square paper packets, which consumers need to shake, tear and pour over ice.

The new cocktail varieties are Waikiki a 21.6% ABV hot Mai Tai-inspired cocktail. Made with Ron Santiago de Cuba Carta Blanca, Ron Santiago de Cuba Añejo 11 Years, Monin Orange, almond syrup, Toschi cane sugar syrup and citric acid.

Kahala has an ABV of 20.6% and is a spicy mango margarita-style drink. This beverage is made with Tequila Exotico Blanco, Bols mango, Cointreau, Ancho Reyes, agave syrup and citric acid.

The third cocktail, Sandy, with an ABV of 20.5%, is a tropical pineapple and mango twist on the classic Negroni. This drink contains Tanqueray London Dry Gin, Cocchi Storico Vermouth di Torino, Campari Bitter, Bols mango and Caribbean Pineapple Liqueur Giffard.

The final new cocktail, Lanikai, is a 23% ABV cocktail and is made with Ketel One Vodka, Giffard Caribbean Pineapple Liqueur, Monin Blue Curaçao, Toschi cane sugar syrup and itric acid.

NIO Cocktail’s mixologist Patrick Pistolesi said: “My trip to Oahu, Hawaii—famous for its rolling waves and white sandy beaches—inspired me to create this collection. Having savoured fresh mango, pineapple and agave, I was inspired to create tropical cocktails!”

Pistolesi continued: “By creating these cocktails, I hope to bring the essence of Hawaii to people's homes, allowing them to embark on a culinary journey without leaving their doorstep. Each concoction pays homage to this lush, tropical land steeped in culture and folklore, aiming to transport your taste buds with every sip.”

The latest launch is hot on the heels of NIO Cocktails’ four RTS beverages inspired by Italian cafe culture, which it launched in April.

The new beverages are available to purchase now at select UK retailers.
