Whitworths unveils mixed nuts and tropical dried fruit ranges

Whitworths unveils mixed nuts and tropical dried fruit ranges

UK fruit, nut and seed snack brand Whitworths is introducing new mixed nuts and tropical dried fruit snacking ranges to its portfolio. Whitworths' Gastro Nuts range are gastro-inspired baked and flavoured mixed nuts. The range is available in Sea Salt & Chardonnay Vinegar, Mature Cheddar & Red Onion Chutney, Jalepeno & Lime and Smokey Maple Bacon variants. Meanwhile, the brand's Fusions range includes a selection of tropical dried fruits infused with 100% natural flavours, designed for younger consumers seeking healthier snack options. Flavours within the range include Coconut Flavoured Pineapple, Strawberry Flavoured Mango and Watermelon Flavoured Papaya. All packs within the new ranges are recyclable and resealable. Phil Gowland, Whitworths' commercial director, said: "Our new Gastro and Fusions NPDs have been designed to not only deliver on the high taste expectations of consumers but also with health, economic and climate targets in mind. We know that significant changes need to be made to the nation’s eating habits for the future of our planet – and things like eating more fruit and vegetables, consuming more fibre and alternative proteins are essential." The Gastro Nuts range will be available for an RRP of £2.30 per 120g pack, with stockists to be confirmed. The Fusions range will be available to purchase in Tesco stores from early September for an RRP of £2.10 per 75-80g pack.
