UK bone broth brand Freja has added two new Asian-inspired, limited-edition offerings to its Instant Bone Broth portfolio: Chicken Ramen and Beef Pho.
The brand said its new limited-edition offerings are ‘bursting with authentic flavour’ and nutrition, while offering the same convenience of a stock cube.
Freja’s Instant Bone Broth range combines its slow-simmered bone broth with vegetables, herbs and spices. The sachets provide up to 11g of protein per serving and up to 7g of collagen, containing all nine essential amino acids. They are free from artificial flavourings, preservatives and fillers.
The new Chicken Ramen broth is described as a ‘smooth, umami’ broth with 5g of type II collagen, 9g of protein and 50 kcal per serving. It is infused with miso, garlic and ginger, bringing Japanese-inspired flavours that can be used as a base for ramen noodle dishes.
Meanwhile, the Beef Pho features a ‘deep, aromatic’ broth with 6g of type I and III collagen, 11g of protein and 56 kcal per serving. It combines star anise, cinnamon and cloves for a signature Vietnamese-inspired pho taste.
The brand’s broths are made with grass-fed beef, free-range chicken, and are gluten- and dairy-free.
Jess Leather, co-founder of Freja, commented: “The stock and broth category is flooded with ultra-processed options that rely on artificial flavourings rather than real ingredients, and this is often worse when you get into the World Foods aisle”.
“We wanted to change that and create a healthy, flavourful store cupboard hero. Our Instant Bone Broths are made with real, slow-simmered bone broth, bringing a delicious, restaurant-quality taste without the additives – just great flavour and great nutrition in one easy and convenient step.”
The new products are available now in packs of four 15g sachets, priced at £5.99. They have launched on Amazon and via Freja’s website.
