Britvic-owned Jimmy’s Iced Coffee is responding to the rising interest in seasonal flavours with the launch of a limited-edition cinnamon roll-flavoured iced coffee.
The new variety delivers an ‘indulgent and comforting flavour’ in time for autumn, while also being HFSS-compliant to meet the growing consumer demand for permissible indulgence.
The new beverage blends the warm, spicy and sweet notes of a cinnamon roll and was crafted in response to Britvic Shopper Community Research that revealed that 32% of consumers under 45 find the lack of interesting and new flavours within RTD coffee a key barrier to the category.
Russell Goldman, managing director of breakthrough brands at Britvic, said: "There has long been an association with cinnamon flavours marking the autumn season, so there was no better time to launch our latest flavour in our growing Jimmy’s range. Cinnamon Roll provides consumers with a comforting and delicious flavour as part of our new rotational flavour series.”
Goldman also emphasised the company's strategy to regularly introduce new limited-edition flavours. An approach he says is designed to keep retailers and consumers engaged by offering fresh, trend-driven innovations that capitalise on emerging opportunities in the category.
Britvic acquired Jimmy’s Iced Coffee in July of last year. Since then, the brand has introduced a new protein-enriched iced coffee in partnership with British sports nutrition firm Myprotein.
Jimmy’s Iced Coffee Cinnamon Roll will roll out across Morrisons stores in the UK from 18 September.
