British confectionery producer Swizzels has launched two new HFSS-compliant products under its Squashies sweet brand: Squashies Tropical and Squashies Shooting Stars.
The new additions are being launched amid increasing popularity of sour and tropical flavours in the UK, while responding to increasing demand for healthier, lower-sugar products.
Squashies Tropical feature parrot, pineapple and watermelon shapes in the fruity flavours of mango and passionfruit, pineapple, and watermelon. Squashies Sour Shooting Stars feature sour flavour combinations of pink lemonade, starfruit and peach, and cola lime, in shooting star shapes.

The new products come in bright, eye-catching packaging designed to stand out on shelves, with an RRP of £1.15. They will also be available in PMP format to help retailers drive sales, encourage impulse purchases and build trust, price confidence and shopper loyalty.
